Stairways to Heaven – Stuttgarter Stäffele
There is no more intense and varied way to discover the state capital: Stuttgart’s secret landmark is its “Stäffele”.
They are both nature and culture, urban life and ancient history.
With their flair, they give Stuttgart something unique.
They don’t want to make it easy for pedestrians.
Step by step, the pulse rate also increases.
But you will be amply rewarded for your efforts with a magnificent panorama, fascinating and surprising views and unexpected insights.
Tour 1: Up to the executive floor
From Charlottenplatz, the direct route follows in the footsteps of murderers and romantics up from the city center to the power center of THE LÄND.
Stately villas tell their very own story.
Flanked by a pug and a penguin, the spring nymph Galatea presents herself to the city.

Steep staggered sections, named after Swabian humorists, roam the contemplative lapidarium.

Even today, they extend all the way down to the main station.
Former Wengert stadiums lead up to the Chinese pavilion.
Further on, in a wonderful semi-high altitude, there are always surprising new views, sometimes as far as the distant Alb, then again into the city basin with its sea of houses and over to the Birkenkopf, the “Monte Scherbelino”.
At the very top, Bismarck and Porsche, Bonatz and Heuss have a rendezvous with Stuttgart’s most prominent lizards.
The tour ends at Killesberg, still a paradise for everyone.

The Stuttgart special for sporty people
Almost 20 staircases and over 3000 steps need to be conquered.
There are winding stretches, straight, crooked, well-trodden, new, old, almost forgotten.
Each has its own character.
In between are urban areas from different eras with their own structure.
Everyone has their own special place, sometimes at the top, sometimes at the bottom.
Here a record-breaking tunnel structure, there magnificent Art Nouveau houses.
An old cemetery, trendy districts, relics of times long past, beautiful gardens, a stolen dog…..
Architecture and nature, history and stories are combined to create an unforgettable fitness program.
